We recruit as programmes and funding allow. You are welcome to send a speculative application — we keep them on file and review them when a post opens.
Working at BREFON
What the work is actually like
We are a small, indigenous organisation. Roles are broad, resources are tight, and you will be closer to the communities we serve than you would be in a large agency.
Much of our work involves trauma, bereavement and severe mental illness. We take staff wellbeing seriously — supervision, debriefing and reasonable workloads are part of how we operate, not a perk.
Our commitments as an employer
- Equal opportunity. We actively welcome applications from women, persons with disabilities, and people from conflict-affected communities.
- No recruitment fees, ever. We will never ask a candidate for money at any stage.
- Safeguarding screening for every role with contact with children or survivors.
- Clinical supervision and debriefing for frontline staff.
Beware of recruitment fraud.
BREFON never charges a fee to apply, interview or be hired. All genuine vacancies appear on this page, and all official correspondence comes from info@bread4theneedy.org. If someone asks you to pay for a job with us, please report it to our office.
