Beyond the office

Our work runs on volunteers

Community volunteers, Village Health Team members and peer facilitators carry much of BREFON's day-to-day work — home visits, support groups, follow-up care and community sensitisation.

They are trained, supervised and supported by our programme staff, and they are the reason we can reach households that a clinic-based service never would.

We are always glad to hear from counsellors, clinical officers, teachers, social workers and researchers who want to work in Northern Uganda.
